WHO ARE WE?

My name is Jim Close and sports photography has been a hobby of mine for most of my life. I started learning as a teenager with my Dad’s film SLR camera at an airshow in rural Australia. I’ve never thought of myself as a pro, but I enjoy sharing good shots. When my daughter was born, I naturally turned the camera towards her and captured just about everything she did. A few years later, my son joined the mix and I have never lacked for subject matter again.

As they have grown, my daughter took up a few different sports and has now settled on softball. This has given me the opportunity to turn my love of photography into a more passioned hobby where I started creating baseball (well, softball) cards, magazine covers, and even some hype videos for her teams. My son has also played a little softball but he’s more of a nerd and likes all things fighting robots and monster battles, so instead of an interest in being featured on his own sports cards, he and I put our imaginations to the test and created a complete Beast Battle trading card game, called Brody’s BEASTS. The initial release of Brody’s BEASTS features 108 cards spanning 3 series.

Our goal is to bring our passions to you and hope that we can provide you and your loved ones with a keepsake or collection that will bring you much joy for years to come.
